Dogs Can Be Fashionable Too!

Lately I’ve been quite the busy-body getting ready for fall Octoberfests and art fairs, so you’ll have to excuse my lack of posts here! One event that I’m preparing for is a doggie-fest here in San Diego and although I don’t have a dog of my own, I know that dog owners in San Diego really love their dogs! Therefore, I’m making beaded dog collars because apparently many doggies need to be fashionable too, ya’ know!

I’ve been seeing many people and their stylish pet carriers like the Juicy Couture pet carrier pictured here. Hmmm....if only I could be carried around in something fun like that, eh? What a luxurious life these dogs lead!

Go Shopping for Pleasure and World Peace

I saw this little article at and thought it a little funny for some reason:

For world peace, the need of the hour is all good people and good people make beautiful lives.

For beautiful lives shopping can be very remedial, especially for women.

From footwear to virtual Nail Extensions, from perfumes to hair vitalizer, lipstick to oil, soap to cream, eventually leads to a quiet obsession with keeping a nicely-shaped and bunion-free feet.

Shopping for all these is exhausting, with thousands of new products being introduced and reinvented everyday.

However, it is shopper’s delight that various varieties are being offered and it is their right to choose that is affordable to them to attain pleasure from a beautiful life.

So, spread world peace by going shopping! ha ha ;)

Thoughts on Fall Fashion and Magazines

It’s that time again...Fall fashion magazines are coming out and I’m thrilled (can you feel the excitement oozing out of the computer screen?) to see all the new gorgeous goods. Frankly, I’m bored with summer already. For whatever reason I’m just not inspired to dress really cute during the heat. But fall, well, that’s a whole other story. There’s layering outfits, jackets - oh, I adore jackets! - and boots, musn't forget the boots.

So far I’ve browsed through Lucky Magazine and the new and improved Marie Claire. I like that Marie Claire is talking about things that matter nowadays, like politics and global fashion. Now, I’ll be on the hunt for Vogue and InStyle. I know that Vogue is going to weigh a ton! However, let’s hope that I can find the Table of Contents more easily this time ;)

I still haven’t adopted any of the 80’s fashion and I heard that stirrup leggings are coming back! Eeek!

However, I may do quite a bit of shopping at Target as I’ve fallen in love with their Paul & Joe collection. It’s a must see!

What trends have you adopted for fall?

Thoughts on Ashlee Simpson

There’s so much talk about Ashlee Simpson these days and this is the perfect blog to talk about her beauty issues. Marie Claire readers are enraged because the magazine has her on the front cover and has quoted her as saying:

"I want girls to look in the mirror and feel confident." She should have added: if you get a nose job!

Now I do believe that Ashlee got her nose job after the photo shoot, so there isn’t really anything that Marie Claire could do about that. The editor of the magazine is just as disappointed in Ashlee as we all are - or so she says.

It’s sad to know that Ashlee Simpson doesn’t have enough love for herself. She feels the need to look outside herself to find happiness, when in essence, happiness begins within oneself. Is she going to be happy now that she’s done this? Maybe. However, I can bet that she’ll soon find something else about herself that she doesn’t like (think Michael Jackson).

Once again - Beauty Is Within...

Blush Application How To and Review

"You look radiant!" This is what my boyfriend says to me when I put blush on my cheeks. It's something about having that little pinkish glow that sparks radiance and gives your face a boost. Besides mascara, in my opinion, blush would be one of the must-have's when it comes to cosmetics.

Over at, there's a blush review on the Laura Mercier, Shu Uemura, Nars, and Cargo brands of blushes.

And courtesy of Coutorture, here's a video on how to apply blush a la Elke Von Freudenberg :
