One thing I've learned not to do when going through image struggles is to look at myself in the mirror obsessively. You will always, always find something wrong.
What you have to do when you look at yourself in the morning as you're getting ready for the day is to find at least 5 positive things about yourself and be grateful for those gifts. For example:
- Thank you for my hair...(Remember that there are many women out there who have cancer and don't have any hair because of chemo treatments)
- Thank you for my breasts
- Thank you for my teeth
- Thank you for my feet that I can put in my designer shoes
- Thank you for my eyes
