Glasses vs Contact Lenses

My poor eyeglasses. They’ve been through a lot these past 5+ years. They’ve survived accidental squashes by unsuspecting buttocks, puppy chewing, and numerous drops on the ground. Even though my prescription has changed a little, I still continue to wear them when I want to give my eyes a break from wearing contact lenses. I get so many compliments on these glasses that I just can’t seem to part from them!

However, like some people, I sometimes feel “nerdy” when I’m wearing my glasses. I know, I shouldn’t even be concerned with what other people think, however, this is the way that I feel…I do feel “smart”, but I still feel self-conscious and not as "beautiful" as I do when I'm not wearing them. Is there anybody else who feels the same way?

Nowadays I mostly wear contacts. I found out about a website, LensShopper.com, where you can shop and compare different types of contacts and submit your eye-related questions to their optician. Who knew that there were so many types of contact lenses out there?
