One of the things I've been doing to stay fit is walking to the grocery store instead of driving. Of course, I only do this when I need a few things! The store is about 3/4 of a mile away, so I throw on some comfortable shoes (love my Pumas!) and get to walking. Another way I've been exercising is just doing little things throughout the day instead of doing it all in one session. I'll take 10 minute breaks and do a little stretching here...or situps...or squats...anything. Doing this also helps clear my mind - especially when I have writer's block.
One of my goals is to have tight abs by November 1, 2008. I came across this video of a lower-belly workout over at the myLifetime website. If you have a good exercise to flatten that belly, I'd love to hear about it! I'll also be posting my progress every week and sharing the exercises that I do.
