The Aura of Inner Beauty

inner beauty explored"Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart." ~Kahlil Gibran e4rqmiyxha

I did a search for blog posts with the intention of sharing other people's thoughts about inner beauty...how they define it...what it means to them...and I came across this post, Inner Beauty: How Do You Define It written by Dinneen, a nutritionist blogger.

Lance from The Jungle of Life shared some thoughts that were pretty profound in the comments section. Here's a snippet of what he said:

"...when I think inner beauty in a woman – I think about light. I don’t know if it’s really a glow, or if it’s like a light bulb going off, as much as it’s a sense of light shining out. That light shining out, I believe very deeply comes from connecting with something deeper within us. And when we do, there’s something that just shines. Not a literal “shine”, so much as as an “at peace” shine..."
This is so true. When you're in the vicinity of someone who is in touch with her/his inner beauty, you can just feel the peace in the air. You just feel comfortable around this person. Their peaceful aura engulfs you.

By the way, Lance's blog is a great read for uplifting thoughts. I've been a fan for quite some time now ;)

When you become in touch with your true inner beauty, there's no pretentiousness. You're not worried about what other people think about you. You feel good about who you are and are not obsessed over what people expect you to be.

So, what are your thoughts on inner beauty? What does it mean to you?

  2. True inner beauty is when a person is charming, funny, generous, kind . It has become more difficult for people to see it that way. Beauty is always associated with outward looks/appearances fueled by the media and pageants that promote unrealistic expectations of beauty and cause low self esteem. So when i came across this site i felt happy that there are some people taking a positive step to change this notion and felt like sharing it with you all. This is how we can take steps to help women and defeat the stereotype. Check out this site http://www.realmsworld.com/

I am not very good with words. I checked out the website www.realmsworld.com suggested by "ambika" and they say, "You are beautiful because of your passion, your intentions, your actions, your wit, your mind, your soul.". For me that is true beauty.

  4. To me, inner beauty is a peace within yourself, a quiet confidence. It's being able to accept yourself and being able to "work" on yourself...improving any flaws and working towards having integrity and great character.
