There are two colors that I can always count on to be "in style": black and white.

Black and white brings back memories of high school when I would call up my friends to plan out what we were going to wear to school the next day. We always ended up choosing a black and white theme because it was just easy. I think we even started calling ourselves the "Mod Squad". I'm on the far left in the picture below...




In the October 2009 edition of InStyle magazine, I came across a spread featuring celebrities sporting black and white striped skirts. Rashida Jones, Heidi Klum, Kelly Ripa, and Rihanna were all wearing cute outfits, of course.



After seeing this picture in the magazine, I was inspired to create a couple pairs of beaded earrings - earrings I would wear with a black and white outfit.
