Fall 2011 Hairstyles From New York & London: Effortless Looks With Braids

Aveda hair stylist at the Fall/Winter 2011 Rodarte Show

Well, actually, I don't know when or if braids ever left because I like to rock pigtails once in awhile.  Nevertheless, braids have taken center stage on the New York and London runways for fall/winter 2011.  From milk braids to pigtails and everything in between, you'll find inspiration to incorporate a braid or two regardless of how short or long your hair is.

But hey, who says we have to wait until fall to wear braids?  Check out some of the looks that I like below...

Pigtail braids at Y-3 Fall/Winter 2011 Show

The Y-3 Fall 2011 show in New York featured long pigtail braids that were loose and wispy to create an effortless look.  This style looks really good with long hair.

John Rocha Fall/Winter 2011 Runway Hairstyle

Yesterday John Rocha presented London Fashion Week attendees with a unique interpretation of the modern braided look. Very young and eclectic!

By the way, if you are in London for fashion week and you're looking for a hairstylist or expert hair advice, check out the ghd salon locator or shop for authentic ghd straigtheners.  Also, make sure to visit the ghd blog for more hairstyle trends: http://social.ghdhair.com.

Fall 2011 Rodarte Runway Hairstyle

At Rodarte stylists created this ethereal look with a little fishtail braid on the side.  Another "effortless" look that can be done at home.

Fall/Winter 2011 Rag & Bone runway hairstyle

I like this look from Rag & Bone where the braids look very relaxed with strands of straight hair framing the face.

Are you going to try any of these hairstyles? Which is your favorite look?
