Whitney Port For Very.com: Live Streaming Show at New York Fashion Week F/W 2012

It’s rare for me to come across a collection in which I like every piece, but I am obsessed with Whitney Port’s fashion line for Very.com. If you could sum up my style in one collection, this would be it.

For those of you who loved MTV’s reality show, The Hills, you’re very familiar with Whitney Port and her interest in the fashion industry. I’ve watched about a dozen episodes of the show, but had no idea that she had stepped into the fashion designer spotlight. Of course, designing her own collection would be the next logical step in her budding career. She’s had editorial positions at Teen Vogue, worked with Diane Von Furstenberg, and even did a stint in fashion PR with People’s Republic.

Now Whitney’s line, Whitney Eve, will be taking the big stage this year at New York Fashion Week with a solo show at the Lincoln Centre in Manhattan this Tuesday, Feb. 15th alongside fashion’s finest including Marc Jacobs and Calvin Klein. Very.com will be live streaming the show from the Very.com YouTube channel at 9 am EST.  Win tickets to the show at http://www.facebook.com/veryinternational

Whitney Eve Jacquard Hooded Sweater

I’m happy that tribal prints are still “in” because I can’t get enough of it. Whitney said that this collection was inspired by a trip to Liberia where she saw all the vibrant prints worn by the women there. You can also see the Von Furstenberg influence in the Zuri wrap dress. My favorite piece is this jacquard hooded sweater pictured here.

I’m not much of a morning person, but I’m working on it, so hopefully I can get up early enough to catch the show live on Tuesday. I’m on Pacific Standard Time, so that means getting up before 6 am!
