On rainy or snowy dreary February days, gold nail polish is the perfect remedy. I debated between red or gold for Valentine's Day, but I regressed back to when I was a young girl and my mother telling me that red nail polish was for "Jezebels". Well, gold nail polish it is. I do need to put that myth to rest one day, though.
For this simple nail art idea there still is a hint of red. I used Lancome's Vernis in Love Nail Polish ($15) in Bubbly Gold (522), which is so shimmery and glides on the nail very easily thanks to the wide brush. (This color was actually part of their holiday collection, so I don't know if it will be available anymore.) Then I added a dot of Sparitual's "Hunk of Burnin' Love" ($10 at Amazon) in the corner of each nail. The red serves as a backdrop for the raised dotted stickers from Nailene's Bedazzle collection that were applied over it.
Voila! Easy peasy nail art. Do you have a simple nail art idea to share? Email me at maria [at] beautyiswithin.net and I'll post it here!
