Recommended Mother's Day Gift: Spa Sonic Skin Care System

If you haven't purchased a Mother's Day gift yet, you may want to consider giving her the Spa Sonic Skin Care System. Every woman washes her face, right? I'm all for practical gift-giving, and the Spa Sonic is something I think every woman should own. Seriously, if you care about your skin (or obsessed with skincare like I am), then get this product.

The system includes:

•1 Face & Body Polisher Unit
•2 Facial Brush Heads
•1 Body Brush
•1 Pumice Stone Attachment
•1 Sponge Attachment
•1 AA battery four pack

If you've been reading this blog for awhile, you know that I rarely hype any beauty product. I've been using this skin care system for the past couple weeks and the skin on my face is so much smoother and the skin tone is much more even. I've tried out the sponge on my face only after applying moisturizer, which is supposed to help with the absorption of the moisturizer and reduce fine lines. I'll have to get back with you on this and update this post once I've used it long enough to tell a difference.

When washing your face, all you need is just a little bit of facial cleanser. I've been using the Amarte Daily Wonder Cleansing Foam, which is a very rich and creamy cleanser. It's part toner and part cleanser, plus it's perfect for my combination skin. It gets rid of the oil, but doesn't dry out my problem areas. I love the cucumber smell! Using the cleansing foam and Spa Sonic together has really helped with the dry patches and white heads on the side of my nose.

As for the body brush, I've used it in the shower and noticed the skin on my upper chest is alot smoother too. The upper chest area has been an issue for me, and sometimes it breaks out leaving the skin rough and bumpy.

I haven't used the pumice yet just because I tend to get a little ticklish when I've used pumice on my body in the past. Besides, I don't really have any extremely rough patches on my skin.

There are other skin care systems out there like the Clarisonic, which an esthetician recommended to me awhile back, but I just wasn't into paying $150+. You can get the Spa Sonic at Target for only $59.99, but Kohl's has it right now for $39.99. I don't know if that's the online price or if you can get it in store for that price. I also saw it on Amazon for $49.39, and with 2-day shipping it comes out to $58.37.

From the different reviews I've read, the Spa Sonic doesn't have as many features as the Clarisonic such as the two speeds, timer, and travel case, but that doesn't matter to me.

Marta of TruthInAging.com did a side-by-side comparison of the Spa Sonic and Clarisonic in this video...
