If you've been reading my blog for awhile, you know that I like to take a holistic approach to beauty. Yes, I do talk about beauty products and fashion, which are part of our outer beauty, but without a strong inner foundation, the outer beauty fades away. This means that mind, body, and spirit have to be in synch with each other for that inner beauty to shine.
On my path to learning more about healthy and organic living, I discovered Ayurveda, which according to Wikipedia is a system of alternative medicine that originated in India. It includes natural healing tools, techniques, and a way of life that is balanced and healthy. Instead of treating symptoms, you go to the root of the problem and fix that. For example, if you're experiencing acne issues, instead of just applying a cream and hoping it will go away, you work on discovering why exactly this issue is ongoing. Is it because you're stressed out or not eating right?
So looking at your overall beauty from an Ayurvedic perspective, it is a combination of not just your skin type, but who you are and your lifestyle. When Veria ID developed their Innerdosha skin care line, they based it on the three Ayurveda types. When you take the Veria Dosha quiz, it pinpoints the Dosha that you're more associated with and recommends products based on it. My dominant Dosha is Kapha...
Although I do have oily hair, my body is more normal to dry, so I tried out the VATA dosha Utterly Quenched Hand & Body Lotion and the Clean Sweep Body Wash. They have a natural spicy scent consisting of organic vanilla oleoresin, ginger, cardamom, clove, orange oil extracts, and other essential oils.
The body wash does keep my skin hydrated. Sometimes I don't even have to apply the lotion, which is creamy and quickly absorbed by the skin. My skin stays soft and moisturized all day.
Veria ID InnerDosha is a full range of natural skin, hair and body products. They guarantee that the products are 100% vegetarian and free of synthetic fragrances, harsh sulfates parabens, phthalates, silicone & artificial colors. Find out more:
