|DeodoMom Cream Deodorant|
With the rise of breast cancer, you have to wonder why so many women are having issues. Sure, it could be genetic, but part of me wonders if it's the type of deodorant that we're using. Although there haven't been any conclusive studies as to whether or not chemicals in deodorants are the cause of breast cancer, the idea of having toxins in your body is still unsettling, especially if you're breastfeeding.
I was pondering whether or not to stop wearing deodorant altogether, but I watched that Kourtney and Kim Take Miami episode where Kourtney had banned deodorant because she was breastfeeding, and Khloe was having issues with Kourtney's body odor. I don't want to be that person who scares off people because of body odor! I can't really put up with the smell myself. No offense to those of you who appreciate the au natural scent of the human body, though.
I had been using Tom's of Maine Aluminum-Free deodorant for the past few years, but I don't like that I have to reapply it every few hours. I recently had the opportunity to try out both the DeodoMom cream and roll-on deodorant offered by 30SomeWeeks.com, and I absolutely love it.
DeodoMom has absolutely no aluminum, alcohol, fragrance, dyes, and parabens. It is also 100% vegan - no animal testing or animal byproducts. In fact, the only ingredients in DeodoMom is magnesium hydroxide and water. That's it. If you have sensitive skin or you're pregnant, this deodorant is designed just for you.
I was actually sold on DeodoMom on the first day I received it in the mail. I had just come home from helping a friend reorganize her garage, so I was sweaty and oh, so stinky. I opened the box and put the cream deodorant to work right away. I didn't even wash my armpits first. A minute later, no stink!
I thought I would use the roll-on more than the cream because roll-on is easier to use, but I've actually gotten used to applying the cream, and a little goes a long way. The best part for me is that I don't have to reapply every few hours like I did with the Tom's of Maine deodorant.
