I've made it a habit everyday to wake up and meditate on a few things to be grateful for. Sometimes I'll write it down in my gratitude journal, but most days I'll just close my eyes and focus on those things that many people take for granted. It could be the pen that I write with, the abundance of shoes that I own, or the cup of coffee that the baristas at Starbucks serve up.
The next time you catch yourself wanting to complain about what you don't have in your life, stop yourself and instead, pick one thing you DO have and show it some love. Those sincere feelings of gratitude will put a smile on your face and make you that more beautiful.
